Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

Marsha's Place Family,

On January 21st, 2024, churches across our nation will be celebrating Sanctity of Human Life (SOHL) Sunday. This is a day set aside to recognize the dignity and value of unborn children as fellow image-bearers of God.

SOHL Sunday is a great opportunity for local churches to highlight their partnership with Marsha’s Place and the joint work we are doing to save lives and support families here in our community. Even though SOHL Sunday will be observed on January 21st, we want to set aside the entire month to honor unborn life and partner closely with our local churches.

Want your church to be involved? Please reach out to Jared (jared@marshasplaceprc.org) to coordinate a plan for your church.

Here are some common ways churches have highlighted SOHL Month/Sunday in the past:

1. Video Resources: Please see below for links to a couple videos that highlight the ministry of Marsha’s Place and the powerful impact we have in the lives of families in our community. These videos are between 3-6 minutes long and can easily be added to your morning worship time. We can provide a copy of either video directly to your church.

1. Video Resources: These bulletin inserts address the value of unborn life, share about the services offered at Marsha’s Place, and encourage people to get involved. These images can also be used on screens if your church does not print a bulletin.

3. Information Table: We will bring a professional display of our programs and services to your church on any Sunday or Wednesday in January, staffed by a Marsha’s Place representative.

4. Presentations & Speakers (5-45 minutes) – Marsha’s Place staff and board members are always excited to share with local churches about our work and how you can be involved. These presentations can be short (5-10 minutes), focusing on the programs and services offered at Marsha’s Place, or our Executive Director, Jared Marshall, is always honored to preach during your morning worship service. Here is a link to a previous sermon he delivered at a local church: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tHcZJuYEPA

Would you consider using one or all of the above resources at your church to partner with us in the month of January? Proverbs 31:8 tells us, “Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute.” Highlighting SOHL Sunday in your church is a practical way you can speak up for unborn children who have no voice.

At Marsha’s Place, we are so thankful for the local churches we have the honor of serving alongside. Thank you so much for supporting this ministry and for your partnership in the Gospel of Christ.
