Our Earn While You Learn Program (EWYL) supports parents by providing them with useful education that earns them store credit in our baby boutique. We provide in-person classes and easy to access online videos via text message or email that allow you to watch and learn wherever it is most convenient for you. Our education covers topics such as pregnancy, parenting, relationships, and spiritual guidance.

Parenting Class
This series explains the emotional needs of a child and provides parents with skills that will help them help their child feel truly loved and accepted. Parents learn:

The power of showing love through eye contact, physical contact and focused attention

To define appropriate and inappropriate love

How to address a child’s anger
-
How to help children with special concerns or problems

What constitutes discipline
-
How they can share their own values and help their child spiritually.
Boundaries Class
This powerful series teaches the positive impact of healthy physical, mental and emotional boundaries. Many men and women have identified and been released from unhealthy and even abusive relationships.
In Boundaries, individuals learn how to:

Define various boundaries in relationships with family, friends, spouses, and children

Set healthy boundaries at work with non-oppositional expression
-
Debunk common boundary myths that cause us to say “yes” when we should say “no” to compromising situations

Manage the resistance they might experience when they set healthy boundaries.
Parenting and Boundaries Classes are held at Marsha's Place, Mondays from 6-8pm
Cost: $10 non refundable class fee (Free for active EWYL Participants)

mentoring
Our Mentoring Program exists to give Moms and Dads the opportunity to meet with other parents who have walked similar journeys. Mentor meetings happen 2-3 times a month and are based on the mentor and mentee's schedule. Mentors can help walk through issues such as Parenting/Child Care, Spiritual/Biblical questions, Child Development, Healthy Lifestyles (Nutrition, Finance, etc), Pregnancy, Dating/Marriage, and Infant Loss. Our Baby Boutique is available to all of our active Earn While You Learn Clients. Our boutique is stocked with new and gently used maternity clothes, baby clothes (Preemie - 24mo), and other baby supplies such as:

How much are your services?All our services are offered at no cost to you, and you do not have to provide proof of insurance.

What are some of the most common pregnancy symptoms?The most common symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. However, if you have irregular periods, this symptom may be misleading. Other common pregnancy symptoms include: Tender/swollen breasts Nausea Appetite change Fatigue Spotting Mood swings Cramping Frequent urination If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, make an appointment today.

When is the best time to take a home pregnancy test?Generally, it is best to schedule an appointment when you are late for your period. Urine pregnancy tests analyze the hCG (human chorionic gonadatropin) that is secreted shortly after implantation. If you've taken a test and it looked inconclusive, try again first thing in the morning. Whether or not you have taken a home test, you can make an appointment today to confirm your pregnancy.

Is the morning after pill the same as the abortion pill?Plan B, or the morning-after pill, is a form of emergency contraception. Emergency contraception is any type of birth control used after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure and it can be taken to prevent pregnancy. One of the most common emergency contraceptive pills is called Plan B One-Step®. The abortion pill, also known as RU-486, induces a medical or chemical abortion and is typically taken between 4-9 weeks into the pregnancy. Will my visit be confidential?Absolutely. We adhere to a strict confidentiality policy. We will hold in confidence all the information you share unless the law requires otherwise.

May I bring my partner or a support person with me?Yes, we encourage you to bring your partner with you, if possible. If he is unavailable, then feel free to bring a friend, parent or family member who is supportive of you and your wishes. Note:If someone insists on coming with you but you do not want them in the consultation room with you, please let a staff member or client advocate know on your appointment form or upon arrival.

Do I need an appointment?We recommend making an appointment request online to be sure you are seen at your convenience. Walk-ins are also welcome. If an appointment is available, we will do our best to see you that day.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?All of our services are free of charge. However, you will need to bring a photo ID with you. A student ID is acceptable if you do not have a driver’s license.

If I'm a minor, can I come alone?"Yes. We can still provide medical and support services to minors, regardless of your circumstances.

Why would I need an ultrasound?An ultrasound is the only method that can 100% confirm a pregnancy and determine how far along you are. If you are considering abortion, it is very important that you first have an ultrasound to see if the pregnancy is viable. Abortion costs vary depending on how far along you are, which can also only be verified through a diagnostic ultrasound.
